Welcome to our school website. I am very pleased to be the Headteacher at Great Addington C of E Primary School, part of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust. We are a charming village primary school that values our local community and believes education is a partnership between the school, the children and their families.

By making the most of the solid Christian and educational foundations that already exist, we can together build brighter futures for all children at the school. We strive to create an environment that excites, enriches, cares and nurtures, but also one that drives our children to excel at whatever they do.

Our team of talented, loyal and dedicated staff, together with strong home-school links, ensure we do the best for our children.

We are very proud of our school – a community that cares deeply about developing our children to be the best that they can be. Through our website, we aim to provide you with information about the school and our locality. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact us. Visits, tours, enquiries, and conversations are always welcome, where you will be able to see our school in action.

At Great Addington C of E Primary School, we are committed to developing the whole child—emotionally, intellectually, physically, academically, and spiritually. We have a family-feel school, with an emphasis on developing each child’s skills, talents, and confidence. Our highly professional staff team works hard to create lifelong experiences and memories, so that when children leave us, they are well-prepared for secondary school and carry fond memories of their primary years.

We value the strong support of our parents, including our amazing Parent School Association. We pride ourselves on high standards of teaching, learning, pupil welfare, behaviour, and achievement. Children enjoy coming to school, and we maintain excellent attendance rates.

It is a great pleasure to be the headteacher of Great Addington, working together with a very supportive and dedicated team that works tirelessly to help all children achieve their full potential ready for their next steps in life.

Thank you for visiting our site. We look forward to welcoming you to Great Addington C of E Primary School, supporting every child to flourish, feel safe, and enjoy the exciting journey of learning and discovery.
